World Parental Ratings Explained!
Parental Ratings is a free service invented and created by Alastair
R Agutter (Senior WWW Developer) to help protect minors and aids Web
users in relation to the suitability of content on Web sites and Web
It is imperative as the World Wide Web evolves for the good of social evolution that responsible organizations and Web master enthusiasts govern with a moral compass to ensure the World Wide Web is not compromised for its users and providers by ill thought out legislation across different States around the World and with different policies.
Most academics and professionals concur that the industry and its users have to police the World Wide Web themselves in the interests of protecting the the most vulnerable in our society namely minors. It has taken considerable time, and many years, to architecturally map out a simplified method with the greatest impact and the easiest, and most effective, way to deploy such a program.
Finally, after many years of long term thought I am confident that the solution here developed is both practical, effective and can be easily adopted into any commercial or enthusiast web service, with the least disruption.
The World Parental Ratings and Certificates Program has determined that there are 5 areas of classification to encompass the whole of the World Wide Web's content. These widgets and icons can be displayed free on your Web site and Web pages, indicating content suitability. Each widget or icon displayed when pressed, links to an automatically generated Certificate clearly stating the rating and age suitability.
This will demonstrate to your users that you have taken a responsible step in being a pro-active contributor in the long terms interests of the World Wide Web and its users, especially regarding the protection and welfare of minors.
