Alastair R Agutter was born in Farnborough, Kent, England in 1958.
He is a Best Selling Author of more than 60 specialist books, and over
120 in different formats (print, digital and audio). He is a
Philosopher, Logistician, Theoretical Physicist, Writer, Musician,
Naturalist, Environmentalist, Marine Biologist, Ichthyologist,
Production Engineer, Computer Scientist,
Artist and Proud Father of Five Children. Alastair Agutter went to Thorpe
Hall School (Private) in Essex, and upon leaving joined Edward Son
& Noice Solicitors in London working for Lord
Chelmer, before eventually moving onto Abbey Life Assurance (Texas
Instruments), and his further education was studying Law at Hastings
College and Norwich
College specializing in Corporate Law, Trademarks, Patents, and
Intellectual Property, and Member of the Institute
A distinguished family for achievement, his Father Horace Agutter was an eminent Architectural Model Maker, with past exhibits in the Science Museum in London, and during World War Two was in the design drawing room for Spitfire and Hurricane Wings, where he met Alastair's Mother Pansy, maiden name Tims, spraying Aircraft and from a large Suffolk Farming Family. His Father continued working for the Ministry of Defence into the 1960's during the Cold War. His eldest Brother Anthony Leonard Dobbins was a Mathematician achieved "O" levels at the age of 9 years, at 14 years attained his "A" levels, and then joined Kings College London. His Great Great Great Grandfather William Agutter was an Oxford Don at Magdalen College, Oxford University with published works fighting for the abolition of slavery. His Sister Deborah was a Fashion Designer for Mothercare and Habitat, with other family members in the Sports and Film Entertainment's industry. His Great Uncle George Agutter was a Tennis Player, Brother of Alastair's Grand Father (William). George Agutter (Getty Images Great Uncle George with Jean French Feb1, 1946) as a Professional Tennis Player and Coach, (Sports Illustrated Dec 14, 1959) went on to become The Dean of the American Professional Tennis Players Association.
Alastair Agutter has always had a significant work ethic, and began bait digging as a small boy aged 7 years, to earn money to buy fishing tackle and tropical fish equipment. The Thames Estuary was where he began his career in Marine Biology, understanding the Marine Life and Fauna. He was an accomplished Tropical Fish Hobbyist, breeding many species, and also a well respected sea angler, amongst his peers. Even as a Junior Angler, he won the National Federation of Junior Anglers Championship in 1973. He was regarded as the most successful and skilled Mullet angler of all time, and was known by the nickname "Mole Man!" A year later, as an able Bass Angler and Specimen Hunter, he won the Angling Echo Pier Bass Championships, a Competition that ran over a period of 6 months, beating his own specimen bass weights on several occasions in 1974. He also fished for Essex, and the only other 5 competitive Angling Competitions he entered in his life time, he won three, was placed a second, and a third in the others.
In his summer holidays and just before leaving school, he worked on Commercial inshore Fishing Trawlers as a First Mate, and then went on to Skipper a Commercial Beam Trawler for a year just at the age of 17 years, and was responsible for the lives of all the crew consisting of five, before joining Edward Son & Noice Solicitors in London. Whilst at Edward Son and Noice he played Non League Football on Friday Nights as a left wing forward, a skill past down to his youngest Son as a Professional Coach today.
Alastair Agutter was an able Musician and Writer, he formed a group with his School friends at the age of 13 years, and went on to perform at Walkers (Casino) Leisure as an R&B Group known as Orion playing Isley Brothers, Elton John, and Doobie Brothers Music. It was only through peer pressure of his parents, that he was discouraged from pursuing his passion of music as a career. He did write a number of songs in the 1970's and 1980's, works that he is now mastering with other new works for an Album and Single due for release in early 2019.
After being the youngest Executive ever employed by Abbey Life Assurance (Texas Instruments), and one of their Top Company Sales Executives he soon left the Company and Organization with sufficient capital to set up his first business in 1979 Agutters a Sporting Tradition by Mail for luxury Split Bamboo Fly Rods, as an Engineer and Craftsman in London. The business was renowned as Best London Rods, making hand crafted game equipment for nobility, national and international teams, including individual world fly fishing champion and cricketer sportsman Tony Pawson. The business was sold in 1994 to Norman's Cycles and Bikes, and continues today supplying niche products and accessories.
From the Luxury Sporting Goods Business was the perfect grounding he needed for publishing, and still in the era of the Great Heidelberg Printers, so standards were set very high in design, presentation, and publication, when designing and developing his own Catalogues for the business. In later years, he moved onto digital electronic media, when he founded and established Pineapple Blue in 1995, and as one of the World's First Digital Media Design Houses. Shortly afterwards, he joined and partnered with Netscape, as a Founding DevEdge Member for the customization of software bundles in the United Kingdom.
His first specialist book was published in 1989, writing on the South American Marine species the symphysodon that he managed to breed successfully in captivity after a great deal of heartache. In the book introduction over 28 years ago, he wrote about climate change concerns and with warnings.
From the age of just 6 years, Alastair took up Gardening, being taught by his Grand Father, William Agutter. At 9 years of age, and as a young boy, Alastair also took up the hobby and past time of Tropical Fish Keeping, and became a very successful Aquarist, breeding countless species of cichlids and other tropical fish over the past 50 plus years. And still today, Alastair remains one of a select few in the world to breed Wild Discus (symphysodon) in captivity, and highly regarded as an authority on the subject of the symphysodon species, and other marine life, as an accomplished author.
Now as a writer since his first published book some 28 years ago, today Alastair looks back and reflects never having known, he would of become a specialist books author. But then on reflection of his life's journey in business, engineering, and marketing, and all involving technology. Today such a path does now make absolute sense!
At the beginning of this year in 2018 Alastair Agutter had presented (by Dr Chakrapani Gobel), and published in India a paper titled "The Reality of Social Media Fake News and Politics" at the 6th International Conference held by the International School of Management Excellence.
He has been a consummate lobbyist for the protection of the environment, seeing first hand the devastation caused by the sinking of the Torrey Canyon in 1967 off of the Cornish Coast, writing a book titled "The Reality of Climate Change" and several other written articles and papers published on the subject, surrounding Marine Life Protection, and the Environment, with reference to Climate Change.

Marketing and Communications, Product Engineering Development and
Artificial Intelligence, namely the World Wide Web.
Alastair R Agutter became involved with the World Wide Web back in 1995, and soon became a founding Netscape DevEdge Member for the customization and development of the Netscape Browser Software Bundle Suites, for both UK Consumer users and Businesses. A Member of the Microsoft Partner Research Panel, a Google and Amazon Partner.
In 1995 Alastair Agutter Founded Pineapple Blue one of the world's 1st Digital Electronic Media Design Houses for creating web sites, rich media content, and advertising. In 1996 designed and developed with Pineapple Blue in partnership with Real Networks as a Real Producer Program Partner Live Online Web Radio, one of the world's first on demand web radio stations. In 2001 Alastair Agutter Founded Riverside Networks and developed the World's first Computerized Plant Preventative Maintenance Systems for the American Pac-Tiv Corporation now used all over the world.
In 2003 Alastair Agutter created the world's first ever true Cloud Computing Program for real live time activity in the field, offices and interaction with clients known as HSE Back Office. In 2006 Alastair Agutter developed one of the World's first programs to protect minors on the World Wide Web known as the Parental Ratings and Certificates Program. In 2010 developed and created Ramesses Horizon a Cloud Computing Program for Search Engine Optimization and Packet Data Compression for a Faster World Wide Web. In 2013 Alastair Agutter began to develop in HTML 5.0 for Digital eBook Publications for the delivery of different formats of digital media to users, in partnership with other vendor program partner organizations.
In 2018 Alastair Agutter has founded in addition to Pineapple Blue Media established in 1995, Pineapple Blue Records to master digital recordings for release to Amazon, iTunes, Spotify and other vendors in the technology sector. For the publishing and release of works written in the 1970's and 1980's by the author and musician (artist name aggie), plus new works today in 2018, that include the compiling of two planned record albums in production "The Millennials Epilogue" new age, techno music and also the "Sounds Vinyl" album that is classic rock, R&B.
In 2018 to further serve the community, for all the author's and musician's creations and with maximum availability, across as many mediums and outlets as possible; Pineapple Blue Media Retail was established, and is working in partnership with Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Google, Apple iTunes, Kobo and many others for the creators; Traditional Printed Books, Digital eBooks, Record Albums, Record Singles, Ringtones and more.

Alastair began keeping and breeding tropical fish as a hobbyist from the age of just 9 years back in 1967 (over 50 years ago) and has successfully bred many species. He was one of the very first Aquarists in the United Kingdom breeding cichlids from the Great Lakes (Malawi and Tanganyika) in the early and mid-nineteen-seventies.
His enthusiasm as a dedicated Aquarist continues today with a number of projects underway; including the development of new biological filtration systems (Polyatomic-ion Biological Reactors), to help improve the success survival rate for keeping thriving plants with tropical fish species. Other projects include breeding a number of endangered species including original strains of the symphysodon family and other smaller indigenous species native to South America mainly inhabiting the Great River Amazon.
Alastair also continues today designing and making his very own aquariums and equipment for his projects, and also endeavours to write more tropical fish hobbyist reference books as an independent author as well as a musician, broadcaster, record producer, and film maker in the interests of further serving the local and wider Community Internationally.
